It is that time of year again to get geared up for great year that we have in store for Peace Academy! I am excited about the changes we have made, and I’m ready to kick this year off with a bang!
The Parent Meeting/Official Kick-Off will be Wednesday August 20th at 6:30pm in the sanctuary. After the opening and brief presentation from Rev. Dr. Marv Bergman, parents and students will head to their classroom in the lower level, where your teacher will introduce him/herself and will talk about the details of their class. We will wrap up the evening with refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
New this year: Second Grade! After several years of prayerfully considering it, we believe the time is right to begin a second-grade class.
Remember: Peace Academy is not just for Peace members. We’d love to teach every Waverly kid about Jesus and His love for them!

Peace is again offering Connect At Peace - a course designed for anyone wanting to know more about Christianity, and how our faith is lived out at Peace. Connect At Peace will begin on Sunday, September 7. Eleven sessions will be held weekly at Peace between 9:15 and 10:15 am. We'll take a look at the fundamentals of how Lutherans interpret the Bible and we'll also discuss the differences between discipleship and membership. Our final session will be held on a Saturday morning; this last session will focus on our different areas of ministry. That morning several members of Peace will help you identify your "sweet spot" in ministry — doing something in the church that you're good at, and one that you enjoy.
